Dr. Sam Khorrami Ph.D.
Primary Investigator, Sub Investigator
Dr. Khorrami is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in Clinical Psychology, Gerontology, and Addictive Behaviors. He has several academic publications in peer-reviewed journals and has taught several university classes, serving as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Khorrami has been in private practice for 18 years and was trained at the prestigious Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California. He has served as both a Principle Investigator and Sub Investigator in various clinical trials.
Dr. Cyrus Khorrami M.D.
Primary Investigator, Sub Investigator
Dr. Khorrami is a Licensed Physician who specializes in delivering Radiology services to the local community. Trained at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University Medical Center and conducting research at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Khorrami has several academic publications and is currently director at Toms River XRAY, CT, and MRI Center. Dr. Khorrami has over 5 years of clinical and research experience in conducting pharmaceutical clinical trials for indications such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Arthritis, and Migraine Headaches. On two separate occasions, he has been awarded participation in the IDEAS study from the American College of Radiology. In total, Dr. Khorrami has either completed or is currently completing 41 clinical trials. He has served as both a Principle Investigator and Sub Investigator.
Judy Kern APN. C
Sub Investigator
Judy Kern, APN. C, is a board certified Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist who specializes in the family with a psychiatric focus. She will be celebrating 55 years as a Nurse and 23 years as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Judy has experience and education to attest to her knowledge base. She began her career at St. Frances School of Nursing in Jersey City graduating as a Registered Nurse. She continued her education at New Jersey City University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a School Nurse certification/ Health Education degree. A Master’s degree in Health Administration was obtained there as well. In addition, she holds a Masters degree in Nursing from The College of New Jersey, a Post-Masters family nurse practitioner degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a Post- Masters advanced degree from Rush University in Family Psychiatric Nursing. She has been involved in various research projects since the early 2000’s as a sub-investigator that have been medication based to help people with assorted medical and psychiatric disorders. She continues to be involved in research and private practice promoting mental health care to the community.
Dawn Arnone
Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
Dawn has been a Nurse/LPN since 2007. She has been certified as a CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) since 2014. In terms of Clinical Trials, Dawn has been the lead Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) since 2015. She has been a valuable lead member on various Dementia trials. Specifically, Dawn has been the CRC on the following clinical trials: Alzheimer’s with Agitation, Alzheimer’s with Psychosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Parkinson’s with Depression, and Migraine Headaches.
Cherie Camporeale
Clinical Research Coordinator
Cherie has had many years of experience in the clinical drug trial field. She began her career working at Takeda America Research and Development Center where she worked on the submission for several drug applications. Certified as a pharmacy technician, Cherie worked in a Behavioral Health Facility better learning about the various aspects of medications. For the past 7 years, she has been in the Clinical Research Coordinator role, working on various trials for Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Agitation due to Alzheimer’s, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Migraine headaches.
Debra Lasota
Office Manager
Originally working as a financial aid manager at a local college, Debra is the office manager and oversees a variety of administrative functions. She coordinates scheduling, billing, and insurance claims. She is extremely friendly and welcomes our patients with the warmest smile.
